The Karin Kajita Jazz Quintet with vocalist Angela Petrucci present The Life and Music of Duke Ellington. On the cusp of the 100-year anniversary (1926) of Duke opening at the Cotton Club in Harlem for a celebrated 6-year run, join us to hear a musical presentation of Duke’s music chronologically and with narrative, from his first job at 16 playing in a soda fountain in D.C., to tours around the world with the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
